Bray's Hamburgers
About This Spot
Stepping into Bray's Hamburgers feels like stepping back into a cherished neighborhood classic—there’s a comforting rhythm here, where the pace is unhurried and the faces behind the counter know many of the regulars by name. The retro-style booths and round stools invite you to settle in, while the familiar sizzle from the grill hints at the simple joys awaiting your table. It’s a place where the hum of conversation blends softly with the clinking of trays and the warmth of genuine smiles, creating an atmosphere that’s both unpretentious and welcoming.
Bray’s embodies the spirit of an old-school burger joint, where each order is made fresh with care and the focus is on honest, straightforward comfort food. There’s a subtle nostalgia in the air, underscored by crinkle-cut fries still steaming from the fryer and shakes that feel like a sweet nod to childhood summers. Whether you’re sharing sliders with friends or indulging in a double cheeseburger that’s just the right side of juicy, the experience is rooted in the everyday moments of satisfaction—a place to slow down, enjoy good company, and savor flavors that have stood the test of time.
What makes Bray’s especially inviting is more than the menu: it’s the feeling of being recognized, of walking into a space where energy and warmth flow naturally. The staff’s friendliness creates an ease that gently chips away at the outside world, making this spot a quiet retreat within the busy rhythm of Westland. It’s the kind of local gem that encourages repeat visits, where each meal becomes part of a familiar, welcoming routine.

I ordered 2 doubles and fries with a medium chocolate cherry shake. The burgers were absolutely delicious! The fries were decent, nothing spectacular. The shake was very good. How can you go wrong with chocolate cherry? My wife and son also enjoyed their food. I will definitely be coming back to this joint another time. I wholeheartedly recommend this joint to anyone thinking about visiting or if your looking to get some food and your nearby.

This place really turned around when Marcy came back to work. She's always smiles and high energy. Because of her the atmosphere seems to completely have changed here. It just feels so welcoming when she's here.

Good burgers. First time eating here. Patties are bit thinner than I expected (thinner than McDonald's but better tasting) but definitely tastes very good. I had Combo #5, comes with double cheeseburger with fries and drink. Service was very friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I was hungry so I ordered a second double cheeseburger and a hot dog. Second burger was good also and the hot dog was good too. Definitely I will be back next time I'm in the area.

This is an old-school, nostalgic burgers and fries kind of place. They have a counter with round stools, and the booths and decorations create a very retro atmosphere. The food was good, burgers are sliders and were delicious, you can get whatever toppings you prefer, and your food is made fresh for you. You will probably need two or three for a meal. Fries are crinkle cut and were served too hot to eat. If you remember the donkey that used to be on their sign, it is now indoors in It's own glass closet, which you can enter to photograph. Parking in adjacent lot, or there is a drive thru.
